Trump threatens Iran with “very severe blow” after Iran attacks on US bases
WASHINGTON, March 07 (YPA) – U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened Iran with what he described as a “very severe blow,” saying the country would face it “today.”
In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump said Washington was seriously considering the option of the “complete destruction and certain death” of areas and groups that were not previously planned as targets, citing what he called Iran’s “bad behavior.”
Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Tehran had apologized to countries in the region that were subjected to Iranian attacks over the past week. He said the Iranian interim leadership council had decided to halt such attacks on regional countries “unless Iran is targeted from their territory.”
Bazhakian explained that Iran “does not want to attack other countries,” adding that Iranian armed forces had acted “spontaneously in the absence of commanders” after several military leaders were killed in what he described as “American-Israeli aggression.”
