Zionist forces arrest dozens of Palestinians in West Bank raids

WEST BANK, March 02 (YPA) -Israeli occupation forces carried out a large arrest campaign early Monday across the occupied West Bank. The raids focused mainly on the city of Hebron.

In Hebron, 13 Palestinians were arrested. Six people were detained in the city. One man was arrested in Yatta. Two others were detained in Al-Fawwar refugee camp.

The occupation also took over several homes in Al-Fawwar camp. They turned the houses into military posts.

One family was forced to leave their home for three days. In another house, 25 family members, including women and children, were held in one room for several hours.

In Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, one man was arrested. Another man was detained in Idna after being beaten, according to local sources.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhmara, said Israeli soldiers raided Khirbet a-Safai in Masafer Yatta and arrested two residents.

The occupation army also set up several military checkpoints around Hebron. Many main and secondary roads were closed with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.

In Nablus, the occupation  forces arrested eight Palestinians early Monday. Raids took place in several areas, including Askar refugee camp, Balata camp, the Old City, and nearby villages. Soldiers searched homes and damaged property during the operations.

In Ramallah and Al-Bireh, 12 Palestinians were arrested, including nine children.

In Tulkarm, seven Palestinians were detained.

In Qalqilya, four people were arrested, including a girl.
