ADEN, Feb. 27 (YPA) -Internet service was disrupted at the Al-Maashiq Presidential Palace in Aden, where pro- Saudi Prime Minister Shaye al-Zindani’s government has been based since returning from Riyadh, media reports said on Thursday.
Local media, citing informed sources, reported that elements affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) disabled the “Aden Net” internet service at the Saudi-backed government’s residence inside the palace complex.
The outage reportedly disrupted official communications, as ministers rely on internet access to send and receive administrative correspondence.
According to the sources, connection cables linking the batteries to the power supply of the Aden Net tower inside Al-Maashiq were removed, causing the tower to go offline and cutting internet access to the palace.
There was no immediate comment from the STC or Saudi-backed government officials.
