US to provide in-person passport services in illegal Israeli settlement

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 25 (YPA) – The United States has announced it will soon provide in-person passport services at an illegal Israeli settlement in the occupied West Bank, US officials said.

It will be the first time the US has “provided consular services to a settlement in the West Bank”, according to the officials.

Most countries consider Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law governing military occupation. “Israel” disputes this, and many Israeli right-wing figures advocate for the annexation of the West Bank.

Palestinians seek to establish a future independent state comprising the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem.

Earlier this month, the right-wing Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu approved measures intended to make it easier for settlers to seize Palestinian lands.
