Extraordinary global movement rejects Israeli occupation’s control over Rafah crossing

GAZA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – Saif Abu Kishk, spokesperson for the Freedom Flotilla, has announced the launch of a new global movement to protest the ongoing closure of the Rafah crossing and its continued control by the Israeli occupation.

A “historic and extraordinary” maritime fleet is set to sail toward Palestine to challenge the ongoing siege on the Gaza Strip.

The organizers aim to break international silence and take a stand against what they describe as genocide, the blockade, and the deliberate prevention of essential humanitarian aid.

The fleet is scheduled to depart on March 9 from Barcelona and other Mediterranean ports, accompanied by land convoys arriving from North Africa and Asia.

The plan includes more than 100 boats and thousands of activists, including doctors, legal experts, and environmentalists, all carrying a unified humanitarian and political message: the siege must end immediately.
