Sanaa-based government demands Yemeni salaries, holds Riyadh responsible

SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based government renewed its call on Riyadh to implement the agreed road map, end the aggression, lift the siege, and release the salaries of the Yemeni people.

In a statement, Acting Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah said on Tuesday, on the occasion of Ramadan, that Yemen urged Saudi Arabia to follow a de-escalation path, halt the aggression, lift the blockade, implement the road map, and pay the people’s salaries.

He held the Saudi regime fully responsible for the decade-long aggression and siege, highlighting its severe humanitarian and economic consequences.

Miftah also reaffirmed full solidarity with the Palestinian people and the broader nations facing Zionist-American aggression, stressing the need for a unified stance in confronting these challenges.

He warned against equating permissiveness or normalization with ignoring crimes, emphasizing that the ongoing killings and violations of holy sites without accountability represent a major crisis threatening everyone’s future, noting that the situation in Palestine could spread to other regions.
