Cold weather forecast on Yemen highlands

SANAA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The National Meteorological and Early Warning Center forecasted on Sunday cold conditions in the mountainous highlands of Yemen.

In a bulletin, the center specified very cold weather would hit Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda province. Generally cold conditions are expected in the highlands of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, and Abyan.

The center urges residents in these areas—or those traveling there—to protect against the cold, especially the elderly, children, patients, and outdoor workers during night and early morning hours. Farmers should take measures to safeguard crops.
