Israeli occupation deploys additional troops to West Bank ahead of Ramadan

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 15 (YPA) -Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army has decided to deploy additional military units to the West Bank as part of “security preparations” for the month of Ramadan, alongside expanded arrest and raid operations in cities and towns.

According to the newspaper, the army plans to strengthen its presence around settlement outposts and along main roads in the West Bank, citing the need to “increase readiness and prevent potential attacks.”

The report said these reinforcements are part of a comprehensive security plan that includes intensified nighttime raids, an expanded arrest campaign, and stricter checkpoints and movement restrictions.

The measures align with the ongoing field escalation by Israeli occupation forces and efforts to assert control over Palestinian areas by encircling population centers and securing settlements and bypass roads, often at the expense of civilians’ daily lives.
