AMRAN, Feb. 14 (YPA) – The Ministry of Interior has issued a statement regarding  the death of Ammar Ahmed Saleh Harshan on February 11 during an armed confrontation with security forces in Amran Governorate.

In a detailed statement, the ministry said that Harshan was considered one of the most dangerous individuals wanted by security authorities in connection with several serious criminal cases.

He was described as a major drug trafficker and distributor, and was allegedly involved in multiple crimes, including attempted murder, kidnapping, looting of private property, leading an armed gang, highway robbery, and other offenses.

The ministry stated that, following surveillance and monitoring of his movements, security forces identified his location and surrounded him on Wednesday, February 11, in the Mafraq Bart area of Sufyan District.
