Zionist forces carry out widespread demolitions across Gaza

GAZA, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday carried out extensive demolitions of residential buildings in multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian sources.

The sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces demolished residential buildings in areas where its forces are stationed northeast of Gaza City, as part of a policy of destroying entire residential blocks in the area.

In the northern Gaza Strip, additional demolitions were reportedly targeted facilities and buildings, with large explosions shaking the area.

In Khan Younis, the occupation forces conducted a new demolition operation southeast of the city amid intensified military movements.

In Rafah, the sources reported that Israeli helicopters opened heavy fire over the city in southern Gaza, alongside shelling and gunfire from Israeli military vehicles positioned in the area. Helicopters were flying intensively over the city and firing at several neighborhoods.

Israeli tanks also reportedly fired heavily toward the eastern and southern areas of Khan Younis.

On Thursday night, Israeli aircraft struck a house belonging to the Abu Hatab family in the Khan Younis refugee camp.

The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which took effect last October under US guarantees and mediation by Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.
