Venezuela exports the first liquefied gas shipment in its history

CARACAS, Feb. 02 (YPA) – The acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, declared on Monday that her country has sent the first shipment of liquefied petroleum gas in its history to the United States.

In a post on the Telegram platform, Rodríguez was proud of the departure of the ship ‘Chrysopigi Lady’ Venezuela loaded with the first cargo of liquefied petroleum gas,” describing the scene as a “historic achievement by exporting the first gas molecule from the country,”

Last January, she reported on the signing of a contract for the export of liquefied gas abroad for the first time in the history of Venezuela, announcing the merger of the ministries of industry and trade, as they are important portfolios for economic progress in the country.

This comes after contacts between US President Donald Trump and Rodríguez to discuss oil, minerals, trade and security issues in the country, as part of what she described as US efforts “to help Venezuela achieve stability and recovery”.

These events followed the kidnapping of Caracas President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores by the United States on the third of last month.
