Gaza Health Ministry: Death toll from Israeli aggression reaches 71,800

GAZA, Feb. 02 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced on Monday that the cumulative death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocide has risen to 71,800 martyrs, along with 171,555 wounded since the onset of the aggression on October 7, 2023.

According to the ministry’s daily statistical report, hospitals across the strip received 5 martyrs and 4 wounded individuals within the last 24 hours alone.

Furthermore, the ministry revealed that the toll recorded since the ceasefire on October 11 has reached 526 martyrs and 1,447 wounded, in addition to the recovery of 717 bodies from previously targeted areas.

Meanwhile, the report highlighted a dire humanitarian situation on the ground, noting that numerous victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered across roadways. The ministry emphasized that ambulance and civil defense teams are still unable to reach these victims due to the persistent dangers and logistical constraints hindering rescue operations.
