WASHINGTON, Feb. 02 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump sparked fresh political controversy after publicly calling for the arrest of former President Barack Obama, accusing him of orchestrating an “intelligence conspiracy” to fabricate the Russia collusion narrative that pursued him for years.
Speaking from the White House, Trump claimed he possesses evidence indicating that Obama personally directed CIA officials to “produce and fabricate” intelligence reports aimed at undermining the legitimacy of his presidency.
Trump characterized the alleged actions as “treason” and a politicization of national security institutions for partisan purposes.
He further asserted that “justice will not be served” unless those responsible are held accountable, naming Obama as the central figure in what he described as the scheme.
There has been no immediate response from Obama or his representatives regarding the allegations. No US law enforcement or intelligence agency has announced any investigation supporting Trump’s claims.
The remarks come at a time of heightened political polarization in Washington, as Trump’s administration enters the second year of his second term, signaling the potential for intensified legal and political confrontation between the White House and leading figures in the Democratic Party.
