Yemeni astronomical society sets February 18, 2026 as start of Ramadan

SANAA, Feb. 01 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Yemeni Astronomical Society announced on Sunday that the start of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH is projected to fall on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, based on approved astronomical calculations.

In a statement, it also explained that the start of the month of Shawwal, the first day of Eid al-Fitr, will coincide astronomically on Friday, March 20, 2026.
