TEHRAN, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Iran’s authorities declared on Wednesday the execution by hanging of Hamid Reza Thabet Esmailpour, after he was convicted of espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israeli occupation’s Mossad.
Iran’s Fars News Agency affirmed that the execution was carried out after the ruling was upheld by the Supreme Court and all legal and judicial procedures were completed.
According to the judiciary, the convicted man was in direct contact with an intelligence officer affiliated with the Israeli entity and had handed over classified documents and sensitive information affecting Iran’s national security.
The agency added that an examination of his covert online activities revealed that he had transmitted sensitive documents and information to an intelligence officer linked to the occupation.
