Death toll of Israeli aggression on Gaza reaches 71,662 martyrs

GAZA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, on Tuesday, that the cumulative death toll from the Israeli genocide in the Strip has risen to 71,662 martyrs and 171,428 injuries since the start of the Zionist aggression on October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report, Gaza Health reported that Gaza Strip hospitals received two new martyrs and nine injuries during the past 24 hours.

“Many victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them at this moment,” the ministry added.

It revealed that the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11 has reached 488 martyrs and 1,350 injuries, in addition to the recovery of the bodies of 714 martyrs.

Moreover, the ministry also announced the death of a 12-day-old baby, Haitham Abu Qas, at Al-Rantisi Hospital, as a result of the extreme cold, bringing the number of child deaths due to the cold since the beginning of winter to 11.
