SUDAN, Jan. 26 (YPA) – An informed source within a European intelligence agency has uncovered a complex network for smuggling weapons into Sudan.
The report implicates the Israeli occupation and the UAE, noting that these efforts are directed toward supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as “Hemedti.”
The source reported that companies specializing in arms production concluded deals with Libya to sell light and medium weapons to Saddam Haftar. Following orders from the UAE, these weapons are being transported through Libyan territory to the RSF in Sudan.
According to the source, the UAE facilitated the entry of large quantities of weapons into Libya within a single week, which were subsequently smuggled into Sudan.
The source warns that the situation in Sudan could deteriorate rapidly, with a high probability of new clashes breaking out.
The volume of this illicit arms trade is estimated at approximately $300 million per month, as Haftar’s forces and a Belarusian company maintain large stockpiles for weapons sales.
