DHAMAR, Jan. 23 (YPA) – The stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center, recorded a minor earthquake on Friday in Dhamar Governorate, central Yemen.
Mohammed Al-Houthi, head of the center in Dhamar, confirmed that monitoring stations recorded a tremor measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale, southeast of ‘Utmah District in the same province and occurred at 10:15 am Sanaa time.
He noted that the tremor is considered minor and usually does not pose a significant risk, adding that the center continues to closely monitor seismic activity across the country to ensure public safety.
