Israeli airstrikes, shelling continue across Gaza despite ceasefire

GAZA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the agreement, as its warplanes carried out, on Wednesday, a series of airstrikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian sources reported that two civilians were injured after Israeli naval boats opened fire west of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. The sources said Israeli warplanes conducted three airstrikes on the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, while Israeli helicopter gunships opened heavy fire east of the city.

According to the same sources, low-altitude flights of Israeli drones were observed over the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis. Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire in the Al-Sikka area of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelled areas east of Deir al-Balah and Al-Bureij refugee camp, while Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes targeting the same areas.
