Hamas: Zionist war minister’s bragging about destruction in Gaza is an explicit admission of genocide

GAZA, Jan. 17 (YPA) – Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem, on Friday said the Zionist war minister’s bragging about the destruction of the Gaza Strip and praising his criminal, murderous soldiers for this act, in light of what certain Western media outlets revealed on the scale of destruction, constitutes a new confirmation of such unprecedented disregard in modern history for all international laws and humanitarian norms.

In a statement, Qassem added that “the genocide and ethnic cleansing committed in Gaza are full-fledged crimes explicitly admitted by the criminal, necessitating accountability for the entire (governing) system of the occupation which stands behind these crimes.”

Zionist Defense Minister Yoav Katz on Friday praised his forces’ demolitions in Gaza, expressing full support for the soldiers amid reports of ongoing civilian infrastructure destruction.

“I command the soldiers for their dedication in protecting “Israel”, despite media claims about Gaza’s destruction,” Katz said.

He added that the military continues operations against what he called “security threats,” claiming the goal is to protect Israeli civilians.

Katz’s remarks come as Gaza faces a wave of Israeli airstrikes, which have killed numerous civilians, including children and women, and caused widespread destruction to homes and vital infrastructure.
