WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (YPA) – The US House of Representatives approved the 2026 Defense and Foreign Affairs Budget proposal, which includes $3.3 billion in security assistance to the Israeli occupation, along with several other provisions supporting the occupation.
The proposal includes a complete ban on funding for UNRWA, as well as a ban on transferring funds to the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and the UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupation.
It also includes a provision to freeze 15% of mandatory US payments to the UN and international organizations until they submit reports on transparency and oversight procedures.
In a related context, Haaretz newspaper revealed that official US documents reported that the United States may fund the construction of a new Israeli factory for the production of armored vehicles, at a cost that could reach $2 billion from US military aid funds.
