Gold prices surge to record highs in Sanaa, Aden markets

SANAA, Jan. 13 (YPA) – Gold prices in Yemen recorded high levels on Tuesday, marking significant new highs across jewelry markets in both Aden and Sanaa.

Market Trends in Sanaa

In areas under the Sanaa government, the price of a gold pound reached 446,000 YER, while 21-karat gold was exceeded 69,000 YER per gram. This reflects a sharp 24 hours increase of 13,000 YER per pound and 1,000 YER per gram.

Since the beginning of the new year, gold prices in Sanaa have climbed by a total of 23,000 YER per sovereign and 2,200 YER per gram.

Market Trends in Aden

In the markets governed by the Aden authorities, the gold pound hit 1,666,000 YER, and 21-karat gold reached 214,600 YER per gram.

Total gains since the start of the year in Aden have reached a record 100,000 YER per sovereign and 10,000 YER per gram.
