DAMASCUS, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The Syrian government forces on Friday announced it imposed a complete curfew in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo city as part of tight security measures in the area, the Syrian news agency (SANA) said.
In a statement, the forces pointed out that the neighborhood was classified as a closed military zone, calling on residents to comply with the instructions issued for their safety, in light of the current security developments.
The statement also warned the residents of the neighborhood not to approach positions belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), stressing that the presence of civilians near these sites may expose them to serious risks.
This decision came in light of the escalation of security tensions and the continuation of military movements, reflecting the complexity of the field scene in a number of neighborhoods of Aleppo city.
