SANAA, Jan. 03 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Supreme Political Council strongly condemned on Saturday the criminal American aggression against the Republic of Venezuela.
In a statement, the council considered the US aggression on the capital Caracas and civilian facilities, and the arrest of the president of the Republic, “Nicolas Maduro” and his wife, describing it as a grave and unprecedented act of aggression and a blatant violation of Venezuela’s national sovereignty and the freedom of its people.
The statement affirmed this aggressive behavior is an emblematic of U.S. policy, which is characterized by forceful domination, imposing hegemony, and threatening any independent nation that resists its dictates.
The council’s statement expressed full solidarity with Venezuela, reaffirming its legitimate right to defend its sovereignty, independence, and freedom.
It urged the free peoples of the world to condemn this dangerous aggression and to reject the political and military bullying, as well as the hegemonic and arrogant policies pursued by the United States, which pose a threat to international security and stability.
