Israeli occupation forces launch air, artillery strikes across Gaza

GAZA, Jan. 03 (YPA) -Israeli occupation forces carried out artillery strikes early Saturday on areas east of the Gaza Strip, as helicopters and armored vehicles opened fire, according to Palestinian sources.

The sources said helicopter and tanks targeted the eastern outskirts of Khan Younis in the south.

According to the sources, Israeli artillery shelling hit the eastern areas of Khan Younis.

In Rafah, Israeli occupation forces opened fire north of the city, and naval vessels fired heavily off the coast.

Meanwhile, an airstrike was reported east of Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation continues to breach the ceasefire in Gaza that has been in place since October 10, the sources added.
