Gaza death toll tops 71,271 amid relentless Israeli attacks

GAZA, Jan. 01 (YPA) – Gaza Strip hospitals received the bodies of two martyrs and a wounded man during the past 24 hours, the Gaza-based Ministry of Health said on Thursday, bringing the total number of dead since Oct. 2023 to 71,271.

A ministry’s statement confirmed that that 171,233 others were also injured in relentless Israeli attacks in the Strip.

“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads, with rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
