Meteorology warns of weather fluctuations in next 24 hours

SANAA, Dec. 27 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains on Saturday of rough seas and high waves in the southern western coast, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the western Gulf of Aden.

The center also warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, and the sick in the mountainous highlands and interior plateaus, of cold weather.

The weather expected to be clear and cold weather during the night and early morning in the mountainous highlands and parts of the interior plateaus, with the possibility of fog or mist forming in some areas and scattered low cumulus clouds will form during the day.

In the coastal areas, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain in parts of the Socotra archipelago, the eastern and southern coasts, and adjacent inland areas, while winds will be active in the southern western coast, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the western Gulf of Aden, reaching a maximum speed of 25 knots.

The center expected the weather to be clear and cold to relatively cold weather in desert areas during the night and early morning, with light to moderate winds.
