Hamas delegation visits Iraq to discuss ceasefire, ways to support steadfastness of Palestinian people

BAGHDAD, Dec. 25 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced, on Thursday, that it held a series of meetings with Iraqi leaders, officials, and political figures to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, the latest political and field developments, related regional and international developments, and ways to address them.
 
The delegation, headed by leader Osama Hamdan and including the media advisor to the head of the movement, Taher al-Nunu, presented an overview of the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the occupation’s crimes in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and the treatment of prisoners, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts to put an end to these crimes and the ongoing aggression.
 
The delegation also stressed the depth of the historical relationship with Iraq and all its political and partisan components, and its steadfast positions on the Palestinian cause.
 
Discussions also focused on ways to support the resilience of the Palestinian people until they regain their full rights and establish their independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
