SANAA, Dec. 23 (YPA) – The senior Sanaa officials revealed on Tuesday that developments in Yemen’s Southern and eastern provinces revealed what they described as false slogans about “legitimacy” and the restoration of the state.
Fadel Abu Taleb, a member of Ansarallah’s political bureau, said that these slogans were used to deceive Yemenis and attract them to a conflict that serves the Saudi and Emirati agendas.
He added that the slogans served merely as a cover for what he described as conspiracies targeting Yemen’s unity and independence.
Meanwhile, Ali al-Qahum, a member of the same political office, said Saudi Arabia was seeking to recycle forces that had lost their legitimacy in an attempt to regain influence over Yemen’s political decision, stressing that such efforts had failed regardless of the scale of external support.
For his part, Abdullah Al-Nuaimi described Riyadh’s reliance on what he called “mercenaries” as a failed bet, saying that Saudi Arabia gained nothing from its intervention other than draining its resources and destroying Yemen, and ultimately failed to achieve its goals.
