Cold wave expected to continue across several areas of Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 23 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based National Center for Meteorology on Tuesday expected continuing a cold wave accompanied by the formation of frost in several provinces and mountainous highlands throughout Yemen.

According to the weather forecast, the center affirmed extremely cold conditions to be expected in the deserts and plateaus of Mahra and Hadramout, Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb highlands, Dhalea, as well as in the provinces Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Marib, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz and Jawf.

It warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, the patients and night workers, about the low temperatures, and urged farmers to take precautions to protect their crops from frost damage.
