GAZA, Dec. 09 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continue violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, targeting residential buildings and various areas, Palestinian media reported.
The violations included the demolition of houses and residential buildings, in addition to intensive air and artillery strikes in areas east of Gaza City and Rafah, while naval warships opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis.
In the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City, occupation forces detonated an armored vehicle, while Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes on the Al-Tuffah and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods.
In Al-Bureij in the central Gaza Strip, occupation vehicles fired at the northeastern areas of Al-Bureij refugee camp.
Israeli military vehicles also opened fire near the Mouraj axis north of Rafah, with intensive aerial activity observed, alongside the demolition of residential buildings east of Khan Younis.
This development comes as the scheduled commencement of the second phase of the US’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip continues to be undetermined.
In this regard, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet US President Donald Trump on Dec 29 to discuss the next steps of the Gaza ceasefire, an Israeli government spokesperson said.
Netanyahu said that he will be discussing with Trump the second phase of a US plan to end the war in Gaza later in December. A ceasefire between “Israel” and Hamas came into effect in October.
