“Lipton” officially exits tea production in Turkey after facility sale

ANKARA, Dec. 07 (YPA) – “Lipton” company has officially announced its exit from the tea production sector in Turkey following the approval by ‘the Competition Authority’ of the transfer of ownership of its fresh tea manufacturing facilities in the districts of Pazaryeri and Fındıklı in Rize province to the company ‘Öz-Gür Çay A.Ş.’

The completion of this agreement follows a prior decision by Lipton to cease production, which coincided with the closure of some of its factories amid a global boycott wave linked to its stance on Gaza.

With the Competition Authority’s approval finalized, the transfer is now effective, formally ending the production activities of “Lipton Teas and Infusions” within Turkey.
