Iranian intelligence arrests terrorist cell east of Tehran

TEHRAN, Dec. 06 (YPA) – The intelligence service of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard dismantled on Saturday an armed operations cell belonging to the Khalq group, in the city of Pardis east of the capital Tehran.

” During the past hours, thanks to the security monitoring and the vigilance of the intelligence service cadres in the city of Pardes, the elements of the terrorist operations cell were arrested, which was behind the planning to attack over 10 government, security and military centers in the provinces of Tehran and Alborz,” the Intelligence Service said in a statement.

The statement stressed that these elements have recently worked, through anti-security measures, to obtain raw materials to make homemade bombs to assassinate citizens and destabilize security.

It added that the Revolutionary Guards thwarted these attempts thanks to the supervision of the intelligence service of the city of Bardis and its rapid intervention.
