Meteorology warns of severe cold wave in Yemeni highlands

SANAA, Dec. 04 (YPA) – the National Center for Meteorology and early warning predicted on Thursday a severe cold wave on the mountainous highlands, with temperatures dropping to between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that the cold weather would target Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Bayda, and the highlands of Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and Ibb province. It also warned of sea turbulence in the south of the West Coast and Bab el-Mandeb.

The center called for citizens in the mountainous highlands to take precautions to prevent a cold, especially for the elderly, children and the patients.
