Frost wave predicted to target mountain highlands

SANAA, Dec. 02 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center predicted on Tuesday a frost wave in the mountainous highlands.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the wave may hit the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and the highlands of Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Ibb, in additional to Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz Shabwa, Hadramout, south of Marib and west of Jawf, with the formation of frost.

It warned citizens living in the mountainous highlands or traveling to them of the cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the patients and workers during the night and early morning hours.

The center called on farmers to take measures to protect their agricultural crops, and livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry to shelter them in warm places.
