Hamas calls for escalating ‘global action’ against Israeli occupation, stresses resistance right

GAZA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Hamas movement called on Saturday on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People for the escalation of global action against the Israeli occupation and its “criminal” practices, and for strengthening all forms of solidarity with the just Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom and independence.

In a press statement, the movement praised the global mass movement in solidarity, calling for unifying efforts and supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people until the occupation ends.

Hamas also called for deeming Saturday (29/11) a “Global Day to renew the actions of the mass global movement” against the Israeli occupation, its violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and the escalation of its “terrorism” in the West Bank and occupied Quds (Jerusalem).

The movement stressed that the Palestinian people’s steadfast national rights, first and foremost the right to resistance in all its forms, especially armed resistance, are legitimate rights that cannot be abandoned or compromised. It affirmed that the responsibility for the liberation of Palestine “is not solely a Palestinian responsibility, but a political, legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibility shared by all the free people of the world.”
