BARCELONA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares on Friday called for the implementation of the two-state solution to achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East.
This came during his speech at the 10th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean, held in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Albares stressed that a just and durable peace in the Middle East can only be achieved through the two-state solution, saying that the time has come to end all this suffering and build a lasting peace.
He added that the US peace plan, together with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 endorsing it, provides a roadmap for implementing the two-state solution, stressing that it is the only viable alternative to restore peace and security for all peoples of the Middle East.
