Israeli occupation continues demolishing 24 homes in Jenin

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continue to demolish Palestinian homes in Jenin refugee camp, in a move described as dangerous and amounting to ethnic cleansing in the city.

Occupation bulldozers began demolishing 24 homes in the Abdullah Azzam neighborhood west of the camp, including 12 homes that will be completely demolished.

Since January 21, the Israeli occupation has continued its aggression against the city of Jenin, its camp, and the towns and villages of the governorate, resulting in the martyrdom of 58 citizens and the injury of more than 200.

The occupation has also completely demolished more than 600 homes in the camp, leading to the displacement of 22,000 camp residents to towns and villages in the governorate and several neighborhoods in the city.

Hamas considers the announcement by the criminal Zionist occupation army of its intention to demolish 24 more homes in Jenin refugee camp a declaration of a full-fledged war crime and a dangerous escalation in the occupation’s policy of ethnic cleansing against our people. It is an attempt to destroy the camp and impose permanent forced displacement on its residents, implementing annexation plans and altering the demographic reality in the West Bank.

Hamas calls on Arab states, the international community, the United Nations, and all relevant parties to assume their legal and moral responsibilities regarding the comprehensive aggression against our people in the West Bank. It stresses the necessity of taking action to impose deterrent sanctions on the fascist occupation government and to take urgent steps to protect our people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, who are facing systematic and comprehensive extermination.
