French university professor publishes list of figures who supported genocide in Gaza

LYON, Nov. 25 (YPA) – A history professor at Lyon 2 University published a list on his social media accounts containing the names of Israeli figures or supporters of the occupation, under the title: “20 Supporters of Genocide Who Must Be Boycotted Under All Circumstances,” referring to the aggression against Gaza. This move sparked a wave of condemnation from political and academic circles, as well as anti-racism organizations.

 

The list included the names of artists, religious figures, and businesspeople, among them Charlotte Gainsbourg, journalist Artur, actor Michel Boujenah, and Yonatan Arfi, president of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF).

 

According to activists, the professor based his list on the names of people who signed a petition published by Le Figaro on September 19, calling on the French president to link recognition of the State of Palestine to specific conditions before France officially announced its recognition of the State of Palestine during the president’s visit to New York.
