TAIZ, Nov. 20 (YPA) – A media activist was arrested and imprisoned in one of their detention centers in the city of Mocha, west of Taiz province.
Anis Al-Sharik, head of the Al-Rased Foundation for Human Rights, said armed elements belonging to the UAE-funded factions’ leader, Tariq Saleh, the nephew of the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, arrested activist, Adel Al-Nuzaili, on Wednesday for posting on social media revealing violations against activists and citizens in the Tihama coast.
On the other hand, activists on social media attributed the arrest of “Al-Nuzaili”, who comes from Ibb province, to his criticism of racism and regionalism that the Tariq’s military and security leaders carried out.
The arrest of “Al-Nuzaili” came after the release of the leader of the “Tihami Movement”, “Mohammed Yahya Al-Manda’i”, who was kidnapped for two days in the prison of Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari camp, in Al-Khokha, because of his criticism of the living and service conditions in the Tihami areas under the control of the coalition in western Yemen.
Activist Zakir Ghanem, known as “King of Mocha,” was kidnapped at the beginning of November, after he had posted an announcement on Facebook about the disappearance of his niece, Nasreen Adel Anas Ghanem, in the city of Mocha.
