SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology warned on Thursday of a cold wave targeting mountainous areas of Yemen.
In its weather forecast, the center affirmed the cold wave would hit Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Ibb, southern Marib, and western Jawf, in additional to Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Shabwa, and Hadhramaut.
the center also warned residents, the elderly, children, and patients and those traveling to the areas of the very cold weather, urging to take necessary precautions.
Farmers also were advised to take necessary measures to protect their crops, and livestock, beekeepers, and poultry owners were advised to keep their animals warm.
Partly cloudy skies may be expected, with a chance of light rain, over the Socotra archipelago, with moderate winds light and along the southern western coast, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
