UN rapporteur condemns international silence regarding Israeli occupation crimes in Gaza

NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, on Thursday strongly condemned the international silence regarding the crimes of the Israeli occupation and its violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on the X platform, Albanese wrote, “Another typical day of the Gaza ceasefire: Israel kills 28 Palestinians amid the silence of the countries that just voted for a ‘peace’ plan.”

She added, “The endless suffering of the Palestinians, and the sinister political maneuvering surrounding it, is a disgrace to our time.”

The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10, following a two-year-long Zionist war of genocide. However, the Israeli occupation army continues to violate the agreement daily and still prevents the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Strip, particularly UNRWA aid.
