SANAA, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning, has forecast cold to extremely cold weather, issuing a clear warning to citizens as the country comes under the influence of a cold air mass.
According to the weather bulletin, temperatures are expected to drop sharply, reaching harsh levels during nighttime and early morning hours in several governorates, including Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Al Bayda, the highlands of Abyan, Lahj, Al Dhalea, Ibb, and western parts of Al Jawf.
The bulletin also indicated that cold conditions will prevail in the highlands of Hadramout and Shabwa, as well as southern Marib, Taiz, Raymah, and Al Mahwit, urging residents to exercise caution.
The center urged all residents in the areas covered by the warning to take necessary precautions, wear heavy winter clothing, and avoid direct exposure to the cold, especially during peak hours of low temperatures.
It also issued a special warning to farmers in mountainous and highland areas, calling on them to take immediate preventive measures to protect their crops and livestock from the adverse effects of the severe cold wave.
