Meteorological center warns of severe cold wave, thunderstorms in coming hours

SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning issued urgent warnings Tuesday to citizens regarding the expected weather fluctuations over the next 24 hours.

Cold to very cold weather is expected during the night and early morning in the highlands and the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, western Jawf, and southern Marib.

The center urged citizens, especially the elderly and children, to take precautions against cold shocks, and advised farmers to take necessary measures to protect their crops.

The center warned of light to moderate rainfall that may be accompanied by thunderstorms during the afternoon in the governorates of Ibb, Rayma, Mahweet, and Hajjah, cautioning against reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes.
