UAE forces kidnap commander of “Al-Dhabba Naval Brigade” in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Nov. 09 (YPA) – The UAE forces have abducted Major Majid Abu Bakr Al-Oubathani, Commander of “the Al-Dhabba Naval Brigade” (affiliated with the Second Military Zone), and transported him to one of their prisons at Al-Rayyan Airport in Mukalla, Hadramout governorate in eastern Yemen, informed sources reported on Sunday.

The abduction followed the storming of his residence by the pro-UAE “Security Support” elements and the confiscation of his weapons and devices, which took place after he was dismissed from the brigade’s command and replaced by the UAE-affiliated Abdulrahman Al-Feel. This operation is part of what is described as a “systematic targeting and exclusion of Hadramout leaders.”

It is noted that the UAE-backed “Security Support” elements recently deployed in coastal areas near the Al-Dhabba oil port, in an effort to assert control over Hadramout’s coasts.
