SANAA, Nov. 09 (YPA) – In a new security achievement reflecting the growing intelligence capabilities of Sanaa, The Yemeni Ministry of Interior has announced the success of a multi-phase security operation that led to the arrest of a spy network linked to a joint operations room involving the CIA, Israeli Mossad, and Saudi intelligence, which was based on Saudi territory.
The ministry said in a statement that this significant security achievement came after monitoring and follow-up operations that lasted several months, which led to the uncovering of the enemy’s plans and the methods used by its operatives.
It is evident that security forces had been monitoring the cells from their earliest stages, collecting detailed information about their methods, communications, and movements. However, they chose to wait until all the threads were complete to ensure the dismantling of the entire network.
Advanced Technology and Complex Plans
According to the confessions of the captured espionage operatives, the joint operations room had supplied these cells with advanced surveillance equipment, including precise monitoring and imaging systems, as well as advanced transmission and encryption devices.
The operatives were also trained in secret communications, camouflage, and the collection of sensitive security coordinates.
The training was reportedly conducted by US, Israeli, and Saudi officers on Saudi territory as part of a coordinated effort to infiltrate Yemen’s internal front and monitor the movements of key leaders and sensitive institutions in Sanaa and several other provinces.
Separate Cells
According to the statement, the Joint Operations Room in Riyadh divided its espionage network into small, independent cells, with each cell operating in isolation to prevent the collapse of the entire network if one is discovered. Nevertheless, security forces were able to trace communication links between the cells by monitoring field patterns and technical communications, eventually dismantling all the cells and eliminating their members—a significant intelligence blow to US, Israeli, and Saudi agencies.
Intelligence Blindness in Yemen
The reliance of US and Israeli intelligence on recruiting local agents under Saudi supervision clearly exposes the intelligence blindness these agencies suffer in Yemen, following their failure to penetrate Sanaa’s security infrastructure through conventional or technical means.
Despite the sophistication of these operations, Sanaa’s security agencies managed to dismantle the complex network with high precision, apprehending all members one by one. The ministry said the achievement reflects the high level of professionalism and intelligence capability that Sanaa possesses today.
An Intelligence Apparatus Rivaling Major Powers
This security achievement reveals that Sanaa now possesses an advanced intelligence apparatus, capable of operating at a level comparable to the intelligence agencies of major countries in terms of accuracy, surveillance, analysis, and control.
The fall of this espionage network—which represented one of the most complex coordinated operations between Washington, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh—confirms It that Sanaa now has vigilant intelligence eyes capable of confronting the enemy’s most sophisticated tools and methods.
