Pro-Palestine activists in Houston launch campaign to ban military shipments to “Israel”

TEXAS, Nov. 03 (YPA) – Activists in Houston, Texas, launched a new campaign called the “Houston Arms Embargo Campaign,” coinciding with the Houston International Maritime Conference, demanding a halt to any military shipments or combat equipment passing through the Port of Houston en route to “Israel.”

The organizers base their call on the responsibility of the US logistics infrastructure for facilitating arms transfers, emphasizing that the Port of Houston has become a key hub for military-related maritime shipping.

The activists assert that stopping the passage of these deadly shipments through this port constitutes a practical step to end US support for “Israel” and also opens the door to a new discussion about the ethics of the US maritime industry and the legal responsibility of shipping companies under international law.
