Senior lawyer’s son killed by Islah members in Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The son of a senior lawyer was killed Thursday by Islah Party members loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in the center of Turbah, Al-Shamayten district, south of Taiz.

Human rights sources said that Islah members in the “Shammayten Security” shot and killed Abdul Rahman, the son of lawyer Abdul Hakim Al-Najashi, after storming their home located in front of the old courthouse in Turbah.

They confirmed that Al-Najashi was killed at the home in front of his family, indicating that Islah members opened fire randomly in the central market following the incident.

This came after popular protests earlier in the day demanding justice and retribution for the killers of the Director of the Public Hygiene and Improvement Fund, Iftehan Al-Mashhari, and all perpetrators of murders who have escaped punishment.
