Iran executes man convicted of spying for Mossad

TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (YPA) – Iran has executed a person convicted of spying for the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad) in the city of Qom, the judiciary’s Mizan news agency announced on Sunday.

The agency stated that the sentence was carried out early on Saturday after the Supreme Court upheld the ruling and a request for clemency was denied.

The unnamed convict was accused of beginning cooperation with Israeli intelligence in October 2023 and was arrested in February 2024 for providing sensitive information and carrying out missions for Mossad within the country.
