GAZA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Hebrew media reported on Friday that Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated he had instructed the military to place physical markers along the so-called “Yellow Line” in the Gaza Strip—a line to which Israeli occupation forces withdrew under the terms of the current ceasefire agreement.
According to Haaretz, Katz warned that “any violation or attempt to cross the line will be met with fire.”
Despite the recent announcement of a ceasefire agreement aimed at ending the conflict, the occupation forces have shelled areas in eastern Gaza in recent days, resulting in several deaths and injuries among civilians.
The Israeli military has pulled back several kilometers from the centers of Gaza’s cities toward the eastern and northern areas, halting at what is referred to as the “Yellow Line” inside the Strip.
This line marks the boundary agreed upon for the first phase of a war-ending agreement, based on a proposal by US President Donald Trump.
